Ithaki, one the small Ionian islands. It is largely identified as Homer's Ithaca, home of Odysseus. The island has been inhabited since the 2nd millennium BC. Many structures were destroyed by the big earthquake in 1953, but beauty remains and will always be there. It's one of the main destinations for international jet-setters, Greeks and tourists from all over the world.
